Seven years after a desperate, winter-bound journey to end her life, Alison retraces the same road in the summer with her playful, curious 7 year old daughter, Nomi. As they travel, Nomi begins to sense memories that aren’t truly hers: echoes of rain, flooded roads, and the hush of a stormy coastline. As the past bleeds into the present, Nomi uncovers a haunting truth: that she was never born, but became the force that saved her mother’s life.
